Introduction

We’re introducing a new verification system for service providers on the Noona marketplace. This initiative aims to ensure that users can easily identify verified professionals, such as hairstylists, beauty specialists, and more, giving them confidence in the quality of the services they book.

This feature is only available in Iceland at the moment.

Why are we doing this?

Professional service providers have long expressed the need to distinguish themselves on the Noona platform. This update will highlight certified individuals, helping users make informed booking decisions.

What’s new?

• Employees in selected industries, such as Beauty and Hair Salons, can now be verified through Noona HQ.

• Verified service providers will have a visible “verified icon” next to their profile picture across the Noona marketplace.

• Users can see the certification level of the provider (e.g., Master of Craftsmanship, Journeyman, Intern).

How to apply for verification

If you are a certified service provider and wish to apply for verification on the Noona marketplace, you simply have to navigate to Noona HQ → Settings → General.
There you can send in a formal application to be verified, but you must include proof of certification.

Introduction

We’re super excited to tell you about the brand new “Booking Offers” feature.
Like all service providers know, it can be a hassle to fill empty slots in the calendar. Now, when a slot opens up in your calendar, you can send a booking offer directly to clients from your waitlist.

How It Works

From the waitlist in Noona HQ, select a client to receive the offer. The booking offer is then sent instantly via push notification and email, giving the client the option to accept or decline. If the booking requires a payment, clients will be prompted to pay upfront when they accept the offer, saving you the hassle of collecting payments later. You can even set a custom message and an expiry time on the booking offer, ensuring that the empty slots in the calendar are filled quickly.

Why You’ll Love It

With “Booking Offers,” there’s no need to call each client individually; just send out the offer and let clients book on their own! This feature saves time and keeps your schedule organized.

Introduction

We’ve launched an integration with Payday, allowing Noona HQ users to easily sync their sales data between Noona HQ and their Payday accounting software. This integration simplifies financial management for businesses that rely on both platforms.

How It Works

Introduction

We’re excited to introduce a new feature that gives you more control over who can book appointments online. Noona HQ users can now choose to accept bookings exclusively from existing clients, ensuring that new clients cannot book online.

This setting can be customized for each staff member, allowing you to easily choose which team members can accept online bookings from new clients and which cannot.

How to enable this feature

HQ users and staff members can configure this booking control in the Noona HQ staff member list. If you want to enable this feature, head over to Noona HQ → Staff → Choose Staff member → Online Bookings tab → Toggle "Allow bookings from new clients”.

Introduction

We are happy to be introducint the “Detailed Appointment List App”, an app that makes it easy to create a customized list view of all your appointment data. If you need a different perspective on appointments than what’s currently provided in Noona HQ, this might be the app for you! Arrange columns, apply multi-select filters, and each time you open the app, your preferred view is ready to use. Quickly filter data to see new clients, calculate total sales by staff, track cancellations, or export an exact view to Excel for further analysis.

This app provides a clear view into your appointment data, helping you track trends, manage client communications, and expand your reporting capabilities.

What is the Noona HQ App Store?

Our new App Store allows anyone to create additional functionality (apps) on top of our platform. Third party developers can now create these apps by using the Noona API’s.

The “Detailed Appointment List” app was created by an external developer, independent of the Noona development team. We hope it not only adds value to your current subscription but also shows the potential of hiring a developer to build custom apps for your specific needs when we may not be able to address them directly.

March Updates

Introduction

We’re excited to introduce the Noona App Store – a brand-new way to customize your Noona HQ experience! The App Store empowers third-party developers to build apps and integrations that address the specific needs of businesses, like those in different countries. Whether it's unique functionality or market-specific system integrations, the Noona App Store is here to provide tailored solutions.

  • Leverage powerful APIs and comprehensive documentation, so developers can easily build and submit apps that work seamlessly within the Noona HQ ecosystem.

Shortly after we launched the Noona App store, a great proof of concept example cought our eye. A business owner in the Czech Republic wanted to blacklist certain customers because of their bad behavior. Using the Noona App Store, the business owner and a developer friend of his were able to quickly build a custom app to solve this issue. This app, called “Blacklist” is now available on the Noona App Store.

Why We Made This Change

We created the Noona App Store to meet the growing demand for country-specific integrations and custom functionality that many of our customers require. As Noona HQ grows internationally, we recognize that each market has its own needs. Instead of diverting our internal development resources to every request, the App Store opens the door for third-party developers to solve unique problems and build value for our customers. This allows businesses to address their own specific challenges faster, without waiting for internal development cycles.

Next Steps

To get started with the Noona App Store:

1. Browse the available apps in the store and see how they can enhance your business.

2. If you have a specific need, work with a developer to build a custom app and submit it to the store.

Introduction

The service industry is comprised of all kinds of businesses, ranging from Salons to Counseling to Medical services - but what seems to be a common request from many types of businesses is being able to configure commissions for employees when services or products are sold.

What’s New?

Noona HQ users can now set up percentage-based commissions for employees on services, products, and gift cards.

Noona HQ users can now access two new reports:

• Commission Summary - View commission totals by team member, service, product, or voucher.

• Commission Detailed - See individual sales or bookings linked to commissions.

Enable Employee Commissions

You can turn on the Employee Commissions feature for each employee from their settings page. Once activated, you can set a unique commission percentage for that employee. This commission can be a different percentage for services, products, vouchers and bookings.

Because Employee Commissions are highly linked to the selling of services, products and vouchers - they can only be enabled by customers using our POS power-up.

Commission Reports

After enabling Commissions for employees our customers can access the Commission Report to use when they need the information on Commissions:

  • Breakdown of commissions by staff member: This report is a summary of all commissions for each staff member, broken down into categories for Commission by service, Commission by product, Commission by sold vouchers and Commission by bookings.

Introduction

Building on the success of our online payment services in Iceland, we're thrilled to extend these services globally. Thanks to our new partnership with Adyen, online payments are now available in all markets, including the Czech Republic and Portugal.

Prepayments

Our customers can now accept payments directly when users book services online. This feature improves convenience for both service providers and users. Offering online payment services globally gives all of our customers better control and more options for handling their service charges, helping to reduce no-shows and boost their earnings.

When enabling Prepayments, businesses can configure the payment settings in three distinct options:

  1. Require Full Payment: Businesses can opt to mandate full payment upfront during the booking process.

  2. Optional Full Payment: This option gives people the choice to pay in full at the time of booking if they prefer.

  3. Require Partial Payment: Businesses can set a specific percentage of the service fee that must be paid to confirm the booking. The partial payment can be customized for each service.

Sell vouchers online

Offering online payment services in all our markets also enables our customers to sell vouchers online. By selling vouchers online through our Noona Marketplace, our customers have the opportunity to increase their sales and engage with customers, helping to grow their business!
